I look out my French door down to the street below, Rue Du Bac, in Ville Arrondissement - a section of Paris not for tourists, but mostly locals. A long street of shops with narrow sidewalks and friendly people. My apartment is above the "Optique" next to a pastierie, the smells are to die for. Though my space is small, I have chosen my surroundings with care.
A mixture of old and new pieces I love to come home to.
In front of my French doors are two Rue De Bac Slipper Chairs with gorgeous silk brocade. Those I have finished my room with, tall wood trimmed backs with half moon seats. Beautifully carved legs on a base with an upholstered bottom. I stand back and take in the wonder of it all, everything in place and everything a piece of beauty. The Rue Du Bac Slipper Chair doesn't need to be in France to be beautiful, place it in your home and dream.
Alder/Maple hardwood for durability; Maple exposed wood and legs.
