Chester Sofa - Gallerie

The Fourth Earl of Chesterfield commissioned his cabinet maker to create an item of furniture 'that would allow a gentlemen to sit upright in the utmost comfort.' The Chester sofa, as with its name, is a more casual, comfortable answer to the fourth Earl's request.

Box tufted inside, back and arms with buttons with no welt. Two loose boxed seat cushions with no welt. Standard Maple leg finishes only.
